Checking back in on our new build in Collaroy, there are two new and additional features that will make all the difference to this beautiful custom built home.
Our previous post showcased what Chateau as builders on the Northern beaches are able to custom deliver for our clients by was of installing a zinc roof, and danpalon cladding.
Now we take adding the finishing touches to this home up a notch with a pryolarve feature wall, floating Stairs and glass balustrade.
Pryolarve Feature Wall & Floating Stairs
This will form one of the focal points of the home. The feature wall is based at the centre of the house, and is 2 stories high.

You can see from the pictures shown that the stairs come straight out of the wall. Looking on, this give the appearance that they are floating as you can see through to the wall behind. Hence their reference as ‘floating stairs’.

Deck and Glass Balustrade
Externally, the priority is to maximise the gorgeous ocean view.

Safety glass panels are an excellent option for deck railings anywhere you have a view to exploit. For this very reason timber decking and glass have been selected to play off the panoramic view.

Using glass Balustrade means that there is nothing to disturb the stunning view, maximising the value of this location.
Other homes may choose to utilise smaller pickets of timber, this option using components leave a seamless finish - just in line with what our clients wanted. Additionally, there is less chance of weathering as would occur with a metal or timber balustrade.
