Custom Built Northern Beaches Home
Our fantastic clients decided to approach Chateau looking to knock down their current home, and rebuild on their property with ocean views, a home that suited their future together.
Now retired and in their later years, the clients were seeking something that was beautiful, light, airy; that captured the surrounding environment beautifully and that was low maintenance. Having built and owned several homes over the years, this is to be their 'forever home'.
Demolition first commenced on the existing home in May 2013.
One year later and the scaffolds that you see are about to be taken down. The custom built home is now several months from final hand over.
On the ground; our construction team highlight two of the many key features - both external - of this architect designed home, that make it so distinctive and unique.
Installation of a Zinc Roof
The primary benefit of this Zinc roof include that it has a much longer lifespan than other materials. In this sense it ticks the box in terms of low maintenance materials.
With the home so close to the ocean elements other materials will corrode much faster.
Danpalon Wall Cladding
Another distinctive feature of this home; what you are seeing is the wall cladding which is essentially made from a specially formulated plastic. This cladding has a high thermal rating, which is excellent for retaining heat as well as keeping the home cool over the immensly hot summer months.
It's other key benefit especially for a home such as this is that it is little to low to no maintenance to keep in peak condition. Dirt will wash right off when it rains.
